Temperature Sensing Based on Defect Mode of One-Dimensional Superconductor-Semiconductor Photonic Crystals

Based on the transfer-matrix method, we theoretically explore transmission and reflection properties of light waves in a one-dimensional defective photonic crystal composed superconductor (HgBa2Ca2Cu3O8+?) semiconductor (GaAs) layers. The whole system is centrosymmetric can generate defect peak band gap. We study effect temperature mode. Results obtained show that mode shifts to lower frequency regions as value environmental increases, resonance be strengthened further number periods increases. In addition, our findings reveal central wavelength increases with increase it presents nearly linear relationship between cryogenic environments. Therefore, use response detect temperature. It hoped this has potential applications for development sensors high sensitivity.
